Hey! Hey! Hayes Doubles At Miller Motorsports Park To Take Superbike Championship Lead

Fortunes flipped between the two Monster Energy/Graves/Yamaha Superbike teammates at high-energy, high-altitude Miller Motorsports Park as four-time and defending AMA Superbike Champion Josh Hayes won both of Sunday’s Superbike races to rise from second in the standings to a four-point lead in the Championship over teammate and double second-place finisher Cameron Beaubier.

“It’s been an incredible weekend,” Josh said. “My team is such an inspiration to me when I see how hard they work all the time to give me the best bike out there. I’m really happy to be right in the thick of this Championship, especially after I dug myself a little bit of a hole earlier in the season. I’m looking forward to (Mazda Raceway) Laguna (Seca).”

Sunday Is Fun Day For Josh Day As He Gets The Double Win For Yamalube/Westby Racing At Miller Motorsports Park

After starting out Sunday with the fastest Superstock 1000 laptime in the morning warm-up session at Miller Motorsports Park, Yamalube/Westby Racing Rider Josh Day and his team had a lot of confidence going into the afternoon’s two races. And that confidence paid off as Josh notched victories in both races for his second and third race wins--and third and fourth podium finishes--of the 2015 MotoAmerica season.

When asked about the welcome change in fortunes for the Yamalube/Westby Racing team, Josh said, “It was definitely a lot better for us this weekend. We’ve got it all sorted pretty well, and I think we’ll be good from here on out. I’m excited to go to Laguna Seca and race in front of the World Superbike crowd.”
